Grant Applications
Grants application deadlines are April 1 and October 1 of each year.

Application
Applicants are encouraged to review the MAF Guidelines, establish a user ID and password, and become familiar with the online software in advance of the deadline date.
The online application software allows you (the applicant) to upload a variety of document formats, fax-to-scan attachments, and access all documents in your account at any time (including all proposal documents and reports submitted through this new system). The software will help you to ensure that you have completed all sections of the application, will verify that your organization has submitted the required final report for any previous MAF grant award, and will provide email acknowledgement of a successfully submitted proposal.
Application Requirements
Requests must address a funding priority of the Foundation and meet MAF guidelines. Electronic signature is required on all submitted proposals. Submission of paper copies is not accepted.
IF for any reason:
- your organization does not have the capacity to manage the online submission requirements OR
- you believe that additional print documentation is essential to the committee’s understanding of the project,
THEN
please contact the MAF Executive Director for assistance at least 10 business days before the grant application deadline.
Note:
- Applicants may be asked to provide additional information to the grants committee as needed.
- Applicants will receive a letter of award or denial after the foundation board meeting (within two calendar months of the deadline date).
- Projects or organizations receiving funding will be required to submit the MAF Final Report Form within 30 days of completion of the project or at the completion date listed on the application (whichever comes first). The final report must also provide samples of marketing materials that acknowledge the MAF contribution.
