Hockey Day Minnesota

Hockey Day Minnesota originated in 2007, by the Minnesota Wild to celebrate the game that has made Minnesota the State of Hockey.  Awarded to Mankato by the Minnesota Wild and Fox Sports North (FSN), we will host the 15th anniversary of Hockey Day Minnesota in January 2021.  This iconic event, being held for the first time in Southern Minnesota, will take place at Minnesota State University (MSU), Mankato, Blakeslee Stadium.

Growing the game of hockey

The goal of Hockey Day Minnesota is to grow the game of hockey. In that spirit, the money raised from this iconic event will stay in our community.  Through the Mankato Area Foundation; our fiscal sponsor of the Greater Mankato Hockey Day Minnesota,  tax-deductible contributions (as allowed) to Mankato Hockey Day MN will be held in a fund with the intent to grow the game of hockey through additional ice development in our community.

Join us in celebrating the game that has made Minnesota the State of Hockey.
