Buster West is a Senior Financial Services Representative in the St. Peter office of the Minnesota Business Center of the Principal Financial Group®. He is a Senior Financial Services Representative of Principal Life Insurance and Principal National Life Insurance Companies and Princor Registered Representative with Princor Financial Services Corporation (Princor®). Buster is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College. His professional activities include teaching industry courses and holding leadership positions in the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Southern Minnesota Chapter and the Society of Financial Service Professionals, serving as President of both organizations. Active in his community, Buster has been a member of the Cleveland School Board, president of the St. Peter Lions Club, St. Peter United Way and the German-Jefferson Sportsman Club, Cub master with the Cub Scouts, is a member of the St. Peter Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Mankato Chamber. Buster is a life and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).  He has been recognized as the Outstanding Young Businessman in St. Peter. In 1993, he was inducted into the Gustavus Adolphus College Athletic Hall of Fame.  In 2006 Buster received the coveted Orris M. Johnson Memorial Award from NAIFA Southern Minnesota.  “This award is given to a member who has established a pattern of representing the finest type of individual in all dimensions of his living and a person who consistently has brought honor and respect to our industry and community.”  Buster’s hobbies include photography, travel, restoring prairies, hunting, fishing, canoeing and cross country skiing.

Buster was appointed to the Mankato Area Foundation Board of Directors in 2014. He currently serves on the Investment and Granting committees.
