Fred Lutz

Fred Lutz is a graduate of Mankato High School and Macalester College, St. Paul, MN.  Currently, he is retired, formerly an Owner and President of Northland Beverages, Incorporated, a regional soft drink bottler and distributor, and Lutz-Lloyd Enterprises, Inc. Fred was also a Past President of the Mankato Jaycees, Mankato Curling Club, YMCA, Valley Industrial Development Corporation, Mankato Golf Club, Mankato Regional Airport Commission, and the South Central College Foundation.  He has also served on the boards of Mayo Clinic Health Systems (formerly Immanuel-St. Joseph’s Hospital), Greater Mankato Growth (formerly the Mankato Chamber of Commerce), Downtown Kiwanis Club, the Volunteer Center, Educare Foundation, United Way Heart Club, and Minnesota State University, Mankato College of Business Advisory Council. Fred is currently a board member of the Mankato Airport Commission, Southern Minnesota Advocates, and a member of the President’s Advisory Councils of South Central College.  Fred was a limited partner of the NBA Timberwolves and is a pilot.  He was also co-chairman of Minnesota Air Spectacular Mankato, 2012 and 2015 Air Shows and received the FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award in 2014 for over 50 years of accident and violation free flying.

Fred was appointed to the Mankato Area Foundation Board of Directors in 2013. He currently serves on the Development committee.
