Marketing and Strategic Initiatives Coordinator
Tricia Lewis is the marketing and strategic initiatives Coordinator the Mankato Area Foundation. Originally hailing from Racine, Wisconsin (Go Pack!), she grew up in the Mankato area after relocating with her family in 2000. After graduating from Mankato West High School, she attended both South Central College and Minnesota State University, Mankato. Prior to her role with the Foundation, Tricia spent several years working in customer service and retail sales.
It was working in these environments that drove Tricia to search for something that she truly loved. Throughout her work experience, her favorite moments were when she was able to connect with people. It was these encounters that began her search for a career where she could focus on not only making those connections with people but doing something meaningful.
As of May 4, 2015, Tricia can now say she has found her passion in the world of nonprofit organizations. “The ability to positively affect change, and to address the needs of others within my own community is something I am proud to be a part of on any scale.”
Aside from her role with the Foundation, Tricia enjoys volunteering her time with other nonprofit organizations, including CityArt Mankato, City Center Partnership, Feeding Our Communities Partners, and YWCA Mankato. She is a recent graduate of the Leadership Institute through Greater Mankato Growth and a founding member of the Women’s Giving Circle.
